STYLE File

Just Ask Ali:

Q:
Ali (my bestest friend),My question is:
What shades of make-up is the best for a school day?
Love,
Britts

A:
Brittany that is a great question! A stylish school look is clean, fresh, glowing and natural. Enhancing your features and beauty. Here are my must have tips for the perfect fresh-faced school look!

Love,
Alice xoxo

School Savvy Makeup:

Step One: Complexion
If you need to cover any dark circles or blemishes use a concealer and then pressed powder over top to set it. That`s only if you need it.

Step Two: Define
Apply a very thin line of brown eyeliner on the top and bottom. Then use a Q-tip or smudger to smudge the line and make it look softer, and not so harsh. Then curl lashes and do two coats of mascara.

Step Three: Contour
Apply a bronzer with a pinch of shine to the pigment as a blush on the apples of your cheeks and blend with a brush. You`ll want a subtle glow that almost looks like you aren`t wearing blush.

Step Four: Perfect Pout
After that do a clear or light nude lipgloss.

Enjoy your naturally glowing look!

StYLe FiLe

Just Ask Ali! Responding to questions you want to know about fashion, style and beauty. This month learn all about homemade masks to keep your skin polished and smooth.

Q: Dear Ali,
What is the best face mask to use? I have Sea Kelp & Mineral or Tea Tree and Witch Hazel. Help!

Seth

A: Oh Seth, your skin always looks amazing! Sea Kelp and MIneral detoxify the pore and get all the build up out while Tea Tree and Witch Hazel are anti-bacterial so it looks like you are on the right path if your skin is combination/oily and you can break out once in a while. Keep looking fabulous Seth!

Love,
Ali xoxo

So Seth's question inspires our Style File this month! Here are some recipes for at home masks you can do based on your skin type!

OILY SKIN/BLEMISH PRONE SKIN:
-Blend 1/2 tsp lemon juice, 1 egg white, 1 tsp of honey (heat in microwave just to melt together). Leave on for 20 minutes then rinse.
The lemon juice helps to exfoliate and brighten the skin, the egg white will help to draw out access oil and the honey will help to smooth and balance your skin!

-If you are Blemish Prone, after masking with the prior mask. Apply a thin layer of milk of magnesia to the effected areas, leave on for 20 min then rinse.

NORMAL SKIN:
-Mix 1 egg white, 1/2 cup of cooked oatmeal. Leave on 20 minutes then rinse.
This will keep your skin balanced and fresh.

DRY SKIN:
-Mix 1/2 of an avocado with 1/4 cup of honey. Leave on 20 minutes then rinse.
Avocados are a great source of omega fatty acids that dry skin is depleted in, honey will balance and rehydrate.

ALL SKIN TYPES:
-To Smooth skin: Warm honey to melt in the microwave, apply and leave on for 20 min. Rinse. Easy!
-To freshen: Apply a layer of plain yogurt to the skin, leave on for 20 min then rinse. Easy!

Enjoy your at home spa! If you have any questions on Style or Beauty visit me at my Fashionista group to ask me a question. You never know, you may be the next topic for Style File!

The ROARsome Ramblings Of Emmett Cullen: Issue 1

The Art of Pranking

My ramblings have lead me today to the subject of pranking. Something I am very good at, at certain times. A perfect prank should be funny, but it should also make a statement. It should be a surprise and make an impact. If you're lucky you do not have a sister who can see the future. Alice has turned quite a few pranks around on me.

Webster’s dictionary defines a practical joke as a gag or stunt or trick to purposely make someone feel foolish or victimized, usually for humor. I try to keep mine funny, less anger and backlash from the people you pull them on. Many people wait till April to pull pranks but let me tell ya, everyday should be April fools. The element of surprise makes for the best pranks.

Some of the best pranks I ever pulled were last minute decisions. Hiding Edward's CD’s in Carlisle and Esme’s bed, gluing cartoon clippings in all of Jaspers books...and my personal favorite, hiding all of Jacob's car keys from him...in Rose’s closet.

Often pranks can end in an embarrassing situation for the pranker as well. Hence the embarrassing story of having to call Jasper “The man” but that’s a whole new story. What are some of the best pranks you have pulled or heard of? Send me an email at GrizzlyEmmettCullen@hotmail.com and maybe you will see them in a future article.

Emmett’s random fact of the week: The most important muscle in kissing is the orbicularis oris, also known as the kissing muscle, which allows the lips to “pucker
